Topographic map of Baden-Württemberg 1: 25,000
The topographic map of Baden-Württemberg is a map of the German state of Baden-Württemberg based on topographic maps on a scale of 1: 25,000 ( TK 25 ), formerly known as measuring table sheets . The TK-25 sheets represent Baden-Württemberg in a geometrically correct manner and are drawn up in their latest version by the State Office for Geoinformation and Rural Development (LGL).
history
The name TK 25, which is still in use today, originated in the early years of the German Empire , initially in the Kingdom of Prussia , from 1876 to the beginning of the 20th century.
As a result, topographic maps were also created in Baden and Württemberg through generalization from existing elevation maps on the basis of the previously created location control point field . The maps were originally in black and white in the Prussian processing area. In Baden and Württemberg, however, the maps appeared in three colors with a black floor plan, brown contour lines and blue waters. The standard today is a four-color edition with additional green forest areas.
The topographic map 1: 25,000 is currently being converted to a new, nationwide map graphics. The conversion of the individual map sheets takes place in Baden-Württemberg continuously in the course of the update. The current status of the change is noted on the LGL website. Maps that are already available in a new map graphic are marked with a green triangle.
Sheet designation
Originally, the measuring table sheets were numbered consecutively line by line from west to east in the north.
The individual sheets have been designated with four-digit numbers since 1937, the first two digits representing the line of a north-south sequence, the last two digits the column of a west-east sequence; the name of the largest or (historically) most important place in the depicted area can also be used for the sheet designation.
Examples:
- "6223 Wertheim" is the sheet in the 62nd row from the north and the 23rd column from the west, with Wertheim as the largest place (and the northernmost point of Baden-Württemberg near Wertheim- Dertingen ),
- "7328 Wittislingen" is the sheet in the 73rd row from the north and the 28th column from the west, with the neighboring Bavarian Wittislingen as the largest place (and the easternmost point of Baden-Württemberg near Dischingen - Demmingen ),
- "8311 Lörrach" is the sheet in the 83rd row from the north and the 11th column from the west, with Lörrach as the largest place (and the westernmost point of Baden-Württemberg) or
- "8412 Rheinfelden (Baden)" is the sheet in the 84th row from the north and the 12th column from the west, with Rheinfelden (Baden) as the largest place (and the southernmost point of Baden-Württemberg).
Larger cities are sometimes also named on several pages next to each other, for example "7120 Stuttgart-Nordwest", "7121 Stuttgart-Nordost", "7220 Stuttgart-Südwest" and "7221 Stuttgart-Südost", each with the state capital Stuttgart as the most important location .
The historical names of the leaves differ in some cases from today's names, for example today's leaves were called "6323 Tauberbischofsheim-West", "6324 Tauberbischofsheim-Ost" and "6423 Ahorn", formerly "6323 Tauberbischofsheim", "6324 Grünsfeld" and " 6423 Gissigheim ". This can have various reasons: An important place may have expanded into the area of another sheet (e.g. Tauberbischofsheim from sheet No. 6323 to sheet No. 6324) or a new important place was chosen, among other things after in the area of one Blattes in the course of a territorial reform a new municipality was created, on the basis of which the corresponding sheet was renamed in the following (e.g. the municipality of Ahorn through the territorial reform in Baden-Württemberg in sheet no. 6423).
TK 25 sheets from Baden-Württemberg
The following table provides an overview of the individual topographical maps on a scale of 1: 25,000 (TK 25) of Baden-Württemberg with today's sheet names. Sheets from neighboring state surveying authorities, where the topographic maps are mostly in a neighboring federal state ( Bavaria , Hesse or Rhineland-Palatinate ) are shown in italics :
