Karibu was a Brazilian car brand.

Brand history

A company whose workshop is said to have been in Pelotas manufactured automobiles in the first half of the 1980s . The brand name was Karibu .

A VW buggy was on offer . A chassis from Volkswagen do Brasil formed the basis. An open, doorless plastic body was mounted on top. An air-cooled four - cylinder boxer engine was placed in the rear and drove the rear wheels. The round headlights were integrated into the extensions of the front fenders , and the likewise round front indicators were integrated into the front of the vehicle. There were four round tail lights at the rear.
