Mirage was a Brazilian car brand.

Brand history

A company from Rio de Janeiro , headed by Jorge Ferreira da Silva, manufactured automobiles in 1982 . The brand name was Mirage . The plans amounted to the production of four vehicles per year. In total, only a few vehicles were built.

There was no connection to the other Brazilian car brand Mirage .

The only model was similar to the Mercedes-Benz 280 SL of the 107 series , but was not a replica . The prototype had a four-cylinder engine from the Chevrolet Opala and rear wheel drive. In the standard version, a motor was installed across the front to drive the front wheels. The cabriolet with 2 + 2 seats was also available with a hard top . The headlights came from the Fiat 147 and the taillights from the Ford Corcel II .
