The Rheinstrasse ( L 203 ) is a national road in Vorarlberg in Austria . It has a length of 16.8 km and runs from the Vorarlberg road (L 190) in Götzis about Hohenems and Lustenau and flows into hard into the Schweizer Straße (L 202).
history
The Rheinstrasse between Götzis, Höchst and Lauterach was built between 1771 and 1772; in the Austro-Hungarian Empire it was called Reichsstrasse XV , and in 1921 it was taken over as a federal road. From April 1, 1948 to August 31, 1971, Rheinstraße ended in Höchst and there merges into Schweizer Straße . Since September 1, 1971, the Rheinstrasse no longer ends in Höchst, but in Hard.

Like the other former federal highways, Rheinstrasse was part of the federal administration. Since April 1, 2002 it has been under state administration. In the other federal states, the conventional street name is continued with B - in Vorarlberg, however, the streets taken over by the federal government have an L in the name like all other Vorarlberg regional streets . |
