- Berlin / Germany : In a symbolic vote, the Bundestag has approved the government's plan to deliver weapons to the Kurdish fighters in Northern Iraq .
- Islamabad / Pakistan : The protest movement in Pakistan, led by opposition activists and clergy, has occupied the state television broadcaster PTV and was able to interrupt broadcasting operations. The protesters are calling for Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif to resign . The Pakistani military is reluctant and is calling for a political solution to the conflict.
