Commander was a Brazilian car brand.

Brand history

A company from São Paulo started producing automobiles and kit cars in 1985 . The brand name was Commander . Production ended in 1987. Coperglass from Guarulhos continued production under other brand names.

The only model was some kind of jeep- style off-road vehicle . The basis was an uncut chassis from Volkswagen do Brasil . An air-cooled four - cylinder boxer engine was mounted in the rear and drove the rear wheels. The body was partly made of fiberglass and partly of tubes that served as a roll-over device .

A reduced edition for children with motorcycle engines was also on offer.
