Eric Scott Illikainen is a sports and historical researcher born in Charleston, West Virginia, USA on November 26, 1968.
He was raised in Cross Lanes, West Virginia and graduated from Nitro High School in Nitro, West Virginia in 1987. He was a member of the track team in high school.
He attended West Virginia State College for one semester and started working for fast-food restaraunts. In 1993, he was able to return to college and graduated from Glenville State College in 1996 with a degree in Accounting.
He wanted to be an FBI Agent so he got a job with them but could not pass the test to be an agent due to very poor eyesight. He worked for them for 5 years and then moved on to the non-profit industry. He also attempted to become a professional baseball player but knee injuries prevented this from being a reality.
He is a born-again Christian who loves baseball, football and 1980's era professional wrestling. He spends alot of time surfing the net for information about famous/infamous people as a hobby.
Notes about my contributions
I contribute to many of the articles involving Major League Baseball statistics, Pro Football Statistics, and Professional Wrestling Stars. I do not have the actual sources for most of this information. All I have are notes.
I have kept notes and statistics on baseball and football since 1978. I have compiled it each year in a gazillion different notebooks. I kept the statistics daily (when I was younger) and weekly once I started working. I got these stats from newspapers and magazines.
As far as pro wrestling goes, I started watching it in 1985 and have kept notes on it as well as far as title changes, gimmicks, birthdays, real names, PPV's, etc. I got this info from watching the shows and writing down what happened, wrestling magazines, etc. I have seven three-ring binders on this, so there is not really any way for me to supply a specific source. I have put under a section titled "books" (on each article), the autobiographies I have read on these people.
The wrestlers from the 1980's are the ones I have the most information on. Especially the ones from NWA, Jim Crockett Promotions, and WCW, which were my favorites. I did follow the other promotions too, but I have limited "specific" knowledge of events in World Wrestling Entertainment, except for when WCW wrestlers would go there.
