List of streets and squares in Berlin-Heiligensee
The list of streets and squares in Berlin-Heiligensee describes the street system in the Berlin district of Heiligensee with the corresponding historical references. At the same time, this compilation is part of the lists of all Berlin streets and places .
overview
Heiligensee has 18,100 inhabitants (as of December 30, 2019) and includes the postal code areas 13503 and 13505. The district has 128 dedicated streets as well as five streets and two squares that have no official designation. The city streets in the district are predominantly residential streets with correspondingly little equipment. Four streets continue into the neighboring districts, in the case of Ruppiner Chaussee in the Brandenburg area. The total length of all Heiligensee roads is 62.2 kilometers.
The special location in the northeast of Berlin and the western border by the Havel and Nieder Neuendorfer See led to a very small-scale street system in the district. These are mainly short access roads, often dead ends , which are identified by street names from the same subject area, often not referred to as a road, but as a path, path or path. For example, the naming of the three parallel cross streets between Rosenorter Steig and Kurzebracker Weg ( Langenauer Weg , Lesewitzer Steig , Liessauer path ), which were chosen less from geographical proximity than from alphabetical proximity from a list of destinations when they were named in 1940.
The federal motorway 111 , which can be reached via junction 3 (Schulzendorfer Straße) , runs through the district . The main road system in Heiligensee is connected with Konradshöhe by Sandhauser Straße , with Frohnau by Rote Chaussee and in particular with Tegel by Heiligenseestraße . The 4280 meter long main carriageway is part of the extensive road system and the 1100 meter long arrival and departure at Schulzendorfer Straße is part of the higher-level road system in Berlin. The Ruppiner Chaussee across the city limits to Hennigsdorf is part of the regional main road system , the southern section of which lost its importance with the construction of the motorway in the 1980s. To the northeast, Kiefheider Weg / Rote Chaussee lead to Frohnau and east-west traffic in the district is routed through Schulzendorfer Strasse / Alt-Heiligensee / Sandhauser Strasse (south to Konradshöhe) and north-south at Am Dachsbau . According to the outskirts of the district, these traffic routes are mainly two-lane roads, some with parking lanes, asphalted but also paved or, like Am Dachsbau, designed as a 30-speed zone . With the S 25 line along the Kremmener Bahn and the two S-Bahn stations Schulzendorf and Heiligensee , the district is connected to the Berlin S-Bahn network .
