In the required runoff on April 4, 2009, he will run against Iveta Radičová, who received 36.9 percent of the votes cast.
  • Budapest / Hungary : the Hungarian Prime Minister Ferenc Gyurcsány announces his resignation. He justified the announcement by saying that he was an obstacle to reform.
