history
The 25.8 km long Atterseer district road began in Timelkam and ended in Weißenbach on the eastern bank of the Attersee. Since 1932, however, the street on the western bank of the Attersee has been called Atterseestrasse . In Unterach it led to Mondseestrasse .
After the annexation of Austria , the Upper Austrian road network was reorganized according to the German model. The road between Attersee and Schörfling was declared a 1st order state road on April 1, 1940 and designated LIO 12.
The Atterseestraße heard since April 1, 1948 the network of federal roads in Austria . It continued from Mondsee via Thalgau to Hof . Since December 1, 1973 the Attersee Straße has ended in Mondsee, the former section between Mondsee and Hof was graduated to a state road.
