Henry Arthur Proctor (born October 19, 1929 in Baxter Springs , Kansas , † April 13, 2005 in Camas , Washington ) was an American rower .

Henry Proctor was a cadet at the United States Naval Academy in Annapolis and a member of the academy's eighth . This eight was nominated for the 1952 Olympic Games . In Helsinki, the US eight reached the final undefeated, where he won with over five seconds ahead of the Soviet and Australian boats. It was the seventh consecutive Olympic victory for the American eighth since 1920.

In 1954, Henry Proctor graduated from Annapolis and became an officer in the United States Air Force . In 1971 he left the Air Force as a Colonel .

He is buried in Tahoma National Cemetery , Kent, King County, Washington, USA.
