It belongs to the Arrondissement of Oloron-Sainte-Marie and the Canton of Orthez et Terres des Gaves et du Sel (until 2015: Canton Sauveterre-de-Béarn ). The place Saint-Martin is on the left bank of the Gave d'Oloron , directly at the confluence of its tributary Saison .

Neighboring communities are: Abitain and Athos-Aspis in the north, Sauveterre-de-Béarn in the east, Guinarthe-Parenties in the southeast, Arbouet-Sussaute in the southwest, Osserain-Rivareyte in the south.
