Lent is located about nine kilometers south-southwest of Bourg-en-Bresse on the south-eastern edge of the historic province of Bresse am Veyle . Neighboring municipalities of Lent are Servas in the north and west, Péronnas in the north and northeast, Certines in the east, La Tranclière in the east and southeast, Dompierre-sur-Veyle in the south, Saint-Nizier-le-Désert in the southwest and Saint-Paul-de -Varax to the west and south-west.
