The Library of Factual Stories is a television program by Armin Maiwald in which he presents (his) factual stories from the program with the mouse . A normal program is about 30 minutes long on average and was broadcast mainly on ARD-alpha on Sunday mornings from January 11, 2009 to February 19, 2017 at 10:15 a.m.

Each broadcast is dedicated to an initial letter. After the alphabet was through, but there was still enough broadcast material, it was decided to number the series. Some programs were broadcast in several parts that still have a number together.

Length of episodes number
24-30 minutes 98 episodes
30-40 minutes 29 episodes
40-60 minutes 09 episodes
60-90 minutes 06 episodes
90-120 minutes 01 episode

The following programs consist of several parts:

  • B8 on the organic farm, two-part
  • B9 Summer trip 2012 Train trip from Sylt to Oberstdorf, in three parts
  • F4 aircraft construction, from the first sheet metal to the finished aircraft, two-part (special length: two times 58 minutes)
  • K10 with classics, two-part
  • M3 Mainreise - By ship from Bamberg to Mainz, two-part
  • O4 Baltic Sea Trip - A trip along the German Baltic Sea coast, in two parts
  • R7 bike tour around the Ruhr area (special), two-part
  • W7 on the hiking trail of German unity, in three parts

Some programs received a new intro by Armin Maiwald and older factual stories were replaced by newer ones, e.g. B. L2 and O2. Some episodes, e.g. B. M2 or F1, have been completely revised. The changed episodes (with the exception of A2) are only available in the updated version. In some cases, however, older episodes that have not been revised are no longer available.

In addition, two packages (referred to as P11 and P12) are currently offered, each containing 10 different episodes.
