List of school narratives in literature and media

from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

The list of school narratives in literature and media is a bibliography that is based on a partially unspecific narrative concept; therefore, for example, dramatic texts are also recorded. The decisive factor is that the school, and with it the teacher and pupil, are at the center or give a thematic focus (for further systematic and historical provisions, see the article school narration ).

The bibliography, which extends from the 18th century to the present day, does not claim to be complete; this is particularly true for the parts to children and youth-oriented literature from the German-speaking countries and to adults or to children and young-looking, translated into German literature. The formulation "from the German-speaking area" takes into account the fact that authors more often come from Austria or Switzerland, for example, but their works were published in the FRG or in Germany.

In the case of film , television and the Internet , however, in view of transnational distribution and reception practices, a distinction between “German-speaking” and “ synchronized ” was dispensed with; however, the respective country of production is indicated by means of international license plates; Due to historical circumstances, the symbols “D”, “BRD” and “GDR” are used for Germany.

Individual evidence

  1. On the term narrative cf. under "Literature" Ansgar Nünning as well as Manfred Schmeling and Kerst Walstra. See also the publications by Mix (1995 and 2002) and Whittaker (2013).
  2. Hence, a mere brief mention of a school situation in a (media) text does not lead to the text being included in the bibliography.
  3. See under "Literature" Klaus Kanzog (1997), Helmut Schanze (2002), Knut Hickethier (2003) and Jens Schröter (2014); see. also the references to the Wikipedia entries film, television and internet.
