Kõõru is a village ( Estonian küla ) on the largest Estonian island of Saaremaa . It belongs to the rural community of Saaremaa (until 2017: rural community of Kihelkonna ) in the Saare district .

The village has seven inhabitants (as of December 31, 2011).

Personalities

The Estonian ship magnate Jaen Teär (1854–1925) was born in Kõõru .
