Oti's court
Well
The court was founded by Pöide near the Ordensburg as early as 1309 . This makes Oti one of the oldest estates on Saaremaa Island. After the destruction of the Ordensburg in 1343, the estate fell to the noble Baltic German family Uexküll , who owned it until the end of the 17th century.
In 1710 all the buildings on the estate were burned down during the Northern War . Almost all of the survivors died of the plague .
Then the estate was rebuilt. From the 1720s until it was expropriated as part of the Estonian land reform in 1919, it was owned by the von Aderkas family .
Mansion
The stately mansion was built in the style of historicism . The basement dates back to the 18th century.
Around 1850 the mansion was supplemented by a high central projectile. This is where the vestibule , the stairs and the hall on the upper floor are located. The facade is adorned with sculptural decoration. The corners of the structure are made of dolomite blocks . The eaves are decorated with finely crafted carnies . On the front door there is a relief of the coat of arms of the noble family Aderkas. The work was carried out in the middle of the 19th century by the then owner, Land Marshal Karl Wilhelm Ottokar von Aderkas (1806–1869). The name of the estate and the village is derived from him.
During the Soviet occupation of Estonia, the manor house housed offices, among other things. Today the mansion is privately owned. A guest house is operated in the rooms.
The remains of some of the manor's outbuildings have also been preserved, including the former warehouse building.
