Valjala-Nurme is a village ( Estonian küla ) on the largest Estonian island of Saaremaa . It belongs to the rural community Saaremaa (until 2017: rural community Valjala ) in the Saare district . Until the reestablishment of the Saaremaa rural community, the place was called "Nurme" and was renamed to differentiate itself from Nurme , as both are now in the same rural community.

The village has eleven inhabitants (as of December 31, 2011). It is located 27 kilometers northeast of the island's capital Kuressaare .
