Kübassaare (German Kibbasaar ) is a village ( Estonian küla ) on the largest Estonian island Saaremaa . It belongs to the rural community Saaremaa (until 2017: rural community Pöide ) in the Saare district .

Population and location

The village has two residents (as of December 31, 2011). It is located on the northeastern tip of Saaremaa Island on the peninsula of the same name ( Kübassaare poolsaar ) , directly on the Baltic Sea coast.

The slightly more than fifty hectare wooded area north of the village has been under state protection since 1973. The island of Udriku laid extends to the southwest .

lighthouse

The first lighthouse in Kübassaare was built in 1915. In 1923 it burned down after a lightning strike. The current lighthouse dates from 1924. It was built from reinforced concrete . Its height is 18 meters.
