Only the ruins of the Orthodox Church of the Appearance of the Holy Trinity (Kolmainu Jumala Ilmumise kirik) with its two towers were built in 1868 . With the Soviet occupation of Estonia in 1941, the bell tower was demolished because there was an air force base nearby . The parish was finally dissolved by the Soviet authorities in 1949. The church then served as a sports hall, warehouse for the local kolkhoz farm and finally as a sheepfold.
