Haapsu is a village ( Estonian küla ) on the largest Estonian island of Saaremaa . It belongs to the Saaremaa rural community (until 2017: Orissaare rural community ) in the Saare district .

Population and location

The village has seven inhabitants (as of December 31, 2011).

It is located northwest of the main town of the rural community, directly on the Baltic Sea. From the cliff to the east near Pulli there is a broad view over the sea.

The Evangelical Lutheran Church of Jaani is located in today's area of ​​Haapsu . It was with its pastorate from the end of the 17th century to the center of the parish of St. Johannis (Jaani kihelkond) .
