Nasva (Saaremaa)

Nasva (German Naswa ) is a village ( Estonian alevik ) on the largest Estonian island Saaremaa . It belongs to the rural municipality Saaremaa (until 2017: rural municipality Lääne-Saare ) in the Saare district .
Population and location
The village has 404 inhabitants (as of January 1, 2016). Its area is 12.54 km². It is located seven kilometers southwest of the island's capital Kuressaare .
The three-kilometer-long Nasva River (Nasva jõgi) flows into the Baltic Sea here . There is also the small port of the place. It got its present appearance in the 1980s as the center of the Saare Kalur collective farm . The port has six quays with a total length of 279 meters.
