Randküla (German Rannaküll ) is a village ( Estonian küla ) on the largest Estonian island Saaremaa . It belongs to the Saaremaa rural community (until 2017: Orissaare rural community ) in the Saare district .

Population and location

The village has eighteen inhabitants (as of December 31, 2011). It is located near the northeast coast of the island, 45 kilometers from the island's capital Kuressaare .

history

In 1543 tho Ranthuelen was a port. The Rannaküll farm (until 2017 Rannaküla, now Kirderanna ) and the village of Randküla were created in the 17th century by changing countries.
