Räägi is a village ( Estonian küla ) on the largest Estonian island of Saaremaa . It belongs to the rural community Saaremaa (until 2017: rural community Leisi ) in the Saare district .

Population, location and history

The village has 27 inhabitants (as of December 31, 2011). It is located 29 kilometers northeast of the island's capital Kuressaare .

The village was first mentioned in 1519.

Personalities

The Estonian architect Mai Šein was born in Räägi in 1946 .
