Üüvere (German Juwera ) is a village ( Estonian küla ) on the largest Estonian island Saaremaa . It belongs to the Saaremaa rural community (until 2017: Laimjala rural community ) in the Saare district .

Population

The village was first mentioned in 1645 under the name Hürfer . It has three residents (as of December 31, 2011). Üüvere is 34 kilometers northeast of the island's capital Kuressaare .

Curiosities

Since the Ü is the last letter in the Estonian alphabet , the village is at the very end of the alphabetical list of Estonian places.
