Kõruse-Metsaküla is a village ( Estonian küla ) on the largest Estonian island of Saaremaa . It belongs to the rural community of Saaremaa (until 2017: rural community of Kihelkonna ) in the Saare district . Until the reestablishment of the rural community Saaremaa, the place was called "Metsaküla" and was renamed to differentiate itself from Metsaküla , as both are now in the same rural community.

The village has only one inhabitant (as of December 31, 2011).

location

The place is located directly on the Baltic Sea in the Uudepanga bay . Hiking trails lead from the village to the western Harilaid peninsula . At its northwest tip is the Kiipsaare tuletorn lighthouse .

The area is part of the Vilsandi National Park .
