Nõmjala is a village ( Estonian küla ) on the largest Estonian island of Saaremaa . It belongs to the Saaremaa rural community (until 2017: Laimjala rural community ) in the Saare district . Until the reestablishment of the Saaremaa rural community, the place was called "Nõmme" and was renamed to differentiate itself from Nõmme , as both are now in the same rural municipality.
