Rahu (German Rachk ) is a village ( Estonian küla ) on the largest Estonian island Saaremaa . It belongs to the rural community Saaremaa (until 2017: rural community Valjala ) in the Saare district .

The village has 23 inhabitants (as of December 31, 2011). It is located 27 northeast of the island's capital Kuressaare .

history

The farm and the village of Rachte were first mentioned in documents in 1507 . In the 16th century, the property was combined with the Lööne farm ( Cologne in German ). The private property Rack is occupied for 1731 .
