Undva (German Hundwa ) is a village ( Estonian küla ) on the largest Estonian island Saaremaa . It belongs to the rural community of Saaremaa (until 2017: rural community of Kihelkonna ) in the Saare district .

Population, location and history

The village has seven inhabitants (as of December 31, 2011). It is 39 kilometers northwest of the island's capital Kuressaare .

Northwest of the village center is the northern tip of the Tagamõisa peninsula (German Hundsort ) with its steep coast .

Excavations have shown that the place was already settled in the Neolithic .
