Nurme is a village ( Estonian küla ) on the largest Estonian island of Saaremaa . It belongs to the rural community Saaremaa (until 2017: rural community Leisi ) in the Saare district . Nurme is not to be confused with Valjala-Nurme , which is also on the island of Saaremaa and was called Nurme until 2017.

The village has sixteen inhabitants (as of December 31, 2011).
