Sacrificial stone from Väkra

Väkra was a village ( Estonian küla ) on the largest Estonian island of Saaremaa . It belonged to the Saaremaa rural community (until 2017: Valjala rural community ) in the Saare district .

The village has no more inhabitants (as of December 31, 2011).

Sacrificial stone

Väkra is best known for the largest sacrificial stone on the island. The tall, trapezoidal stone dates from the second millennium BC. Its circumference is 19 meters, the highest point is 5.1 meters above the ground. It is under nature protection.
