Ennu is a village ( Estonian küla ) on the largest Estonian island of Saaremaa . It belongs to the rural community Saaremaa (until 2017: rural community Pihtla ) in the Saare district .

Population and location

The village has eleven inhabitants (as of December 31, 2011). It is located on the Vätta peninsula ( Vätta poolsaar ), east of the island's capital Kuressaare .

Windmill

The windmill on Jaagu Farm dates back to 1924 and was extensively restored in 2013. It is a typical example of the post mills that were once widespread on Saaremaa . The windmill with its wide view over the Baltic Sea serves today as a small hostel and ornithological viewing platform.
