Süper Lig 2015/16

The Süper Lig 2016/17 (officially: Spor Toto Süper Lig Turgay Şeren Sezonu ) was the 59th season of the top Turkish league in men's football . It started on August 19, 2016 with the home game of the promoted Adanaspor against Bursaspor and ended on June 3, 2017 with the last matchday. Due to the death of Turgay Şeren on July 7, 2016, the Turkish Football Association decided on July 13, 2016 to name the 2016/17 season based on the Turkish football goalkeeper legend Spor Toto Süper Lig Turgay Şeren Sezonu .

Promoted Alanyaspor became the 69th participant since the founding of the Süper Lig. Beşiktaş Istanbul was prematurely Turkish champions on the 33rd match day.
