This list names the members of the Hamburg Parliament during the 19th electoral term (from March 12, 2008).
The Hamburg citizenship consists of 121 members without overhanging or compensatory mandates . In the Hamburg state election, 2008 were for a new vote 71 deputies in the first direct election or constituency lists selected. The Hamburg urban area was divided into 17 constituencies , in which three to five members were elected, depending on the size of the constituency. The remaining 50 MPs were elected via state lists.
composition
The citizenship was composed as follows:
Note: Originally (until 2010) 45 SPD seats and no non-attached members.

Dormant mandates
The constitution of the Free and Hanseatic City of Hamburg stipulates that members of the Senate are not allowed to exercise a citizenry mandate. The mandate is suspended during this term of office and is exercised by the next appointed person on the nomination . If a mandate is suspended, the person on the nomination who was last appointed resigns. Two MPs suspended their mandate temporarily due to ongoing criminal proceedings .
Mandates not accepted
Ole von Beust , the top candidate of the CDU in the 2008 mayor elections, did not run in a constituency and was elected to the citizenry on his party's state list. As the first mayor of the Free and Hanseatic City of Hamburg, he was a member of the Senate. He did not accept his citizenship mandate.
Dietrich Wersich , who was also elected for the CDU via the state list, can not be a member of the citizenship as State Councilor of the Authority for Social Affairs, Family, Health and Consumer Protection, because the performance of the duties of civil servants of the Free and Hanseatic City of Hamburg with salaries with the exercise of the Mandate is not compatible.
