The Polk County is a county in the state of Georgia to the United States . The county seat is Cedartown .

The county is located in northwest Georgia, borders Alabama to the west and has an area of 808 square kilometers, of which three square kilometers are water, and is bordered clockwise by the following counties: Floyd County , Bartow County , Paulding County, and Haralson Counties .
history
Polk County was formed on December 20, 1851 from parts of Floyd County and Paulding County. It was named after James K. Polk , the 11th President of the United States.
