The Lincoln County is a county in the state of Georgia to the United States . The county seat is Lincolnnton .

The county in northeast Georgia bordering South Carolina and has an area of 666 square kilometers, of which 120 square kilometers are water and is bordered clockwise by the following counties: Columbia County , McDuffie County , Wilkes County and Elbert County .
The county is part of the metropolitan area of Augusta .
history
Lincoln County was formed as the Original County on February 20, 1796. Like the city of Lincoln, it was named after Benjamin Lincoln , a general in the Revolutionary War.
