Fighters without a national emblem, locally referred to as " green men " in the Crimea
- Crimea / Ukraine : Around 50 unknown armed persons temporarily occupied Simferopol International Airport . Russia has also moved 13 Ilyushin Il-76 military transporters with a total of around 2,000 soldiers to the Crimea. The Ukrainian interim president Oleksandr Turchynow speaks, according to the dpa news agency, of a "military invasion " under the guise of a military maneuver. The Ministry of Foreign Affairs is also protesting against violations of Ukrainian airspace by eleven Mil Mi-24 attack helicopters and violations of the whereabouts of soldiers of the Russian Black Sea Fleet detaining a post of the Ukrainian border police.
- Moscow / Russia : Russia is offering the members of the Ukrainian Berkut special unit stationed in Crimea and de facto disbanded new Russian passports through the Consulate General in Simferopol .
- Beijing / China : The Ministry of Public Security announced that on February 19, 2014, the authorities uncovered four child trafficking rings during raids in a coordinated action in 27 provinces, arresting 1,094 people and freeing 382 small children.
- Rostov / Russia : Former President of Ukraine Viktor Yanukovych gives a press conference in Russia and continues to lay claim to the office of president. The Ukrainian Public Prosecutor's Office is investigating Yanukovych for "mass murder". The Switzerland and Austria have blocked the accounts of several members of the former Ukrainian state leadership, including that of Viktor Yanukovych and his son Oleksandr Yanukovych , where money laundering is accused.
