Gelucourt ( German Gisselfingen ) is a French commune with 217 inhabitants (as of January 1, 2017) in the Moselle department in the Grand Est region (until 2015 Lorraine ). It belongs to the arrondissement of Sarrebourg-Château-Salins .
geography
The municipality of Gelucourt is located in the Saulnois , about six kilometers south of Dieuze near the Linderweiher (Étang de Lindre). The municipality is part of the Lorraine Regional Nature Park .
The district of Videlange (Videlingen) belongs to Gelucourt .
history
The place was first mentioned in 786 as Gisolvinga . Then Gisolvingom (792), Gisselfingen (1476, 1559 and 1594), Gelacourt (1793).
The village was mentioned as early as the 8th century and destroyed in the Thirty Years War . From 1871 to 1918 it belonged to the German Empire .
