The Miller County is a county in the state of Georgia to the United States . The county seat is Colquitt , named after Walter Colquitt , a senator , prosecutor, and judge .

The county is located in southwest Georgia, about 25 km to the west from Alabama and about 40 km to the south from Florida . It covers an area of 735 square kilometers, of which two square kilometers are water, and is bordered clockwise by the following counties: Baker County , Decatur County , Seminole County, and Early County .
history
Miller County was formed on February 26, 1856 from parts of Baker County and Early County. It was named after Judge Andrew J. Miller , commander of the Oglethorpe Infantry, member of the government and multiple President of the US Senate .
