Malaucourt-sur-Seille is a French commune with 123 inhabitants (as of January 1, 2017) in the Moselle department in the Grand Est region (until 2015 Lorraine ). It belongs to the arrondissement of Sarrebourg-Château-Salins .

geography

The municipality of Malaucourt-sur-Seille is ten kilometers west of Château-Salins in Saulnois at an altitude between 191 and 276 m above sea level. The municipal area covers 7.17 km². In the southwest, the municipality extends to the Seille on the border with the Meurthe-et-Moselle department .

history

The village has belonged to France since 1661 and carried the German name Mallhofen from 1915-18 and 1940-44 .
