Molring (German Molringen ) is a French commune in the Moselle department in the Grand Est region (until 2015 Lorraine ). It belongs to the arrondissement of Château-Salins . With 5 inhabitants (as of January 1, 2017), Molring is the smallest of the 730 municipalities in the Moselle department.

geography

Molring is located six kilometers south of Albestroff at an altitude between 229 and 257 m above sea level. The Metz - Strasbourg railway line runs through the 3.26 km² municipal area .

history

The small village was first mentioned in 1361 and destroyed in the 15th century. It was rebuilt in 1698. Today it consists of less than a dozen buildings.
