Former Grand-Am participants
- Chip Ganassi Racing: The team is switching from BMW to Ford Motoren.
- Wayne Taylor Racing: Ricky Taylor returns to his father's team after a year at Spirit of Daytona Racing. Long-time regular driver Max Angelelli is moving back into the position of long-distance racing pilot. Wayne Taylor will also start as the fourth driver in Daytona.
- Spirit of Daytona Racing: Ricky Taylor moves back to Wayne Taylor Racing. Michael Valiante, who already played a few missions in 2012, is returning to replace him .
- Marsh Racing: Promotion of the team from the GT class to the prototype class.
- Starworks Motorsports: The team is expanding its program with two vehicles in the Prototype Challenge class. In the P-Class, from Sebring, the team will switch to a part-time program with Honda engines.

- AIM Autosport: The team initially withdrew due to budget problems. After the withdrawal from Level 5 Motorsports, the team took over one of the team's vehicles.
- Team Sahlen: Originally, the team had announced that they would participate again with two Riley BMWs, but later withdrew.
- Bob Stallings Racing: The team only planned to start in the NAEC races, but had to withdraw completely after an accident in Daytona.
- Speedsource: Change from the GX-Class to the P-Class as Mazda works team.
- 8 Star Motorsport: After a test run at the Petit Le Mans 2013, the 2014 team will compete in the PC class.
- Scuderia Corsa: The team sometimes uses a second and a third vehicle.
- Turner Motorsport: After several years with the BMW M3, the team switched to the BMW Z4 GT3.
- Actin Express Racing: The team only uses the second vehicle in the NAEC races.
- Michael Shank Racing: Instead of two prototypes, only one Riley Ford is used.
- Park Place Motorsport: The team expanded to two vehicles. Since Patrick Long competes for Porsche North America, Jim Norman is moving from Napleton Racing to Park Place Motorsport.
Former ALMS participants
- Extreme Speed Motorsports: After Guy Cosmo left during the 2013 season , Ryan Dalziel fills the seat in the car with starting number 01 in the prototype class.
- CORE Autosport: After the team fielded a Porsche 997 GT3 RSR from the third race of the 2013 season, CORE Autosport will run the new Porsche works team in the GTLM class with two Porsche 991 GT3 RSRs .
- Corvette Racing: The Corvette works team is switching from the Corvette C6.R to the Corvette C7.R in the GTLM class

- Alex Job Racing: In 2014 Leh Keen will return to the team in which he became champion in the GTC class of the ALMS in 2012, as Jeroen Bleekemolen has switched to the SRT works team in the GTD class. Bill Sweedler and Townsend Bell move to Level 5 Motorsports.
- NGT Motorsport: After the death of Sean Edwards , Kuba Giermaziak replaces him as a full-time driver.
- Flying Lizard Motorsports: After many years with Porsche GT vehicles, the team is switching to Audi.
- Paul Miller Racing: The team is switching from Porsche to Audi.
- Level 5 Motorsports: After several years in the LMP2 class, the team changes to the GTD class. After the 24-hour race at Daytona, the team withdrew from the championship.
- RSR Racing: The team expanded to two vehicles.
- BMW Team RLL: Andy Priaulx replaces Maxime Martin and John Edwards becomes a full-time driver, as Joey Hand only drives in endurance races.
- Dempsey Racing: The team fielded a second vehicle in Daytona and Sebring in cooperation with Konrad Motorsport .
New teams
- Riley Technologies: The SRT Viper GTS-R GT3 will be used by the works team in the GTD class in 2014. Jeroen Bleekemolen is joining this team from Alex Job Racing.
- GMG Racing: After the team had already competed in the smaller series of the Grand-Am, GMG Racing drove an Audi in the first two races of the USCC GTD class in 2014.
- SMP Racing: The team uses a former ESM Ferrari in Daytona in collaboration with Extreme Speed Motorsports.
- JDC - Miller MotorSports: Use of a PC car since Sebring.
- OAK Racing: The French team will field a Morgan Nissan in the P-Class. Gustavo Yacamán changes from Michael-Shank Racing to this team.

Racing calendar
USCC
Not all races are advertised for all classes, as the number of registered participants exceeds the capacity of individual racetracks. In addition, the overlap with the 24 Hours of Le Mans was taken into account for the works teams in the GTLM class . This leads to thirteen events with eleven (P, GTLM and GTD) or ten (PC) rating races per class. Separate races for prototypes and GT vehicles will take place in Laguna Seca , each lasting 2 hours. Sprint races over 100 minutes are held on the street circuits in Long Beach and Detroit . The PC class will run in Kansas and Virginia together with the IMSA Prototype Lites series, a junior series for the USCC. Since only one driver per vehicle is named in the IMSA Lites, these two events will be completed in a format with two sprint races, in which two drivers can be used in the PC class. However, there will only be one rating for these two sprint races. All other races that are not intended as a NAEC event (see below) will run over the known race length of 2:45 hours.
NAEC
The Tequila Patron North American Endurance Cup (NAEC) is carried over from the Grand-Am to the USCC. The race in Indianapolis will no longer be part of this special classification; instead, in addition to the races in Daytona and Warkins Glen, the events in Sebring and on Road Atlanta will be integrated from the ALMS.
