Hommarting ( German Hommartingen , 1940–1944 Humbertingen , Lorraine Hummeding ) is a French commune with 850 inhabitants (as of January 1, 2017) in the Moselle department in the Grand Est region (until 2015 Lorraine ). It belongs to the arrondissement of Sarrebourg-Château-Salins and the canton of Sarrebourg .
geography
Hommarting is located about seven kilometers east of Sarrebourg at an altitude between 257 and 336 m above sea level. The Rhine-Marne Canal runs in the southwest of the municipality . The municipality covers 10.19 km².
The districts are La Poste de Hommarting ( Hommartinger Post ) and Zinswald.
