  • Balthasar Nuss (* around 1545; † 1618 in Bad Brückenau ), witch judge of the Fulda Abbey 1603–1606, brought about 300 people to the stake during the time of witch persecution . In 1603 Mrs. Merga Bien died in a witch trial .
