The J.League Division 2 2010 was the eleventh season of the Japanese J.League Division 2 . Nineteen clubs took part in it. The season started on March 6th and ended on December 4th, 2010.
Master and thus promoted to the J.League Division 1 2011 was Kashiwa Reysol . In addition, runner-up Ventforet Kofu and third-placed Avispa Fukuoka also rose.

The clubs played a double round tournament ; thus there were a total of 36 games per team. There were three points for a win and one point for a draw. The table was created according to the following criteria:
- Number of points scored
- Goal difference
- Goals scored
- Results of the games among themselves
- Decision game or coin toss
The three clubs with the most points were promoted to the J.League Division 1 2011 at the end of the season .
Attendees
A total of nineteen teams took part in the season, one more than in the previous season. At the end of the preseason three clubs were promoted to Division 1 2010 . Master Vegalta Sendai left the league after six years of membership, runner-up Cerezo Osaka rose to the House of Lords for the third time after three years in Division 2. Third-placed Shonan Bellmare had to wait ten years for his second promotion.
The three promoted teams were replaced by three clubs from Division 1. The prefecture of Chiba was particularly affected , from the sixteenth Kashiwa Reysol and the bottom of the table JEF United Ichihara Chiba both resident clubs had to relegate; Kashiwa returned to Division 2 after three years, and Chiba has never played in a Japan-wide second division in the history of the club. In addition to the Chiba teams, Ōita Trinita also "caught" , who was referred back to the House of Commons after seven years in Division 1.
The field of participants was completed by New Wave Kitakyūshū , fourth in the Japan Football League 2009 . The association from the island of Kyūshū changed its name to Giravanz Kitakyūshū after the rise .

Remarks
- Consadole Sapporo played seven home games at the Sapporo Atsubetsu Stadium and nine at the Sapporo Dome. In addition, there was a home game each at the Muroran Irie Stadium in Muroran , Hokkaidō and in the Hakodate Chiyogaidai Park Athletic Stadium in Hakodate , Hokkaidō.
- Fagiano Okayama played a home game at the Tsuyama Athletics Stadium in Tsuyama .
- FC Gifu played their first three home games at Nagaragawa Stadium , the main stadium of Nagaragawa Memorial Park , and the rest of the season was played in neighboring Nagaragawa Ballgame Field Meadow.
- Mito HollyHock played a home game at Kasamatsu Stadium in Mito.
- Ōita Trinita played a home game at the Kagoshima Kamoike Stadium in Kagoshima , Kagoshima .
- Roasso Kumamoto played seven games at the Kumamoto Suizenji Stadium in Kumamoto.
- Sagan Tosu played a home game at the Saga Athletic Stadium in Saga , Saga.
- Tokyo Verdy played two home games each at the Tokyo Olympic Stadium , the Nishigaoka Soccer Stadium and the Komazawa Olympic Park Stadium .
- Yokohama FC played one home game each in the Tokyo Olympic Stadium and in the Nissan Stadium .
