  • Lake Ohrid / Macedonia : At least 17 people are killed in a ship accident. An excursion boat, on which there are mainly Bulgarian tourists , capsizes about 300 meters from the coast. 53 passengers were rescued, some of those rescued suffered injuries.
  • West , Central Africa : Around 350,000 people have to leave their homes due to flooding . At least 30 people die in Ghana and Burkina Faso alone . As a result, over 600,000 people were affected by the flood.

  • Port-Gentil / Gabon : The German container ship “Pacific” sinks west of the coast of the Central African country, the 13-man crew can be rescued. The ship belonged to the shipping company Werse and sailed under the flag of Cyprus .
