In 2009 Shelby Automobiles was officially renamed Shelby American again, so that the 45th anniversary of the AC Cobra and the Shelby GT350 could be celebrated under the original company name. Carroll Shelby Licensing, Inc. is the second wholly owned subsidiary of Carroll Shelby International and is located at Las Vegas Motor Speedway in Clark County, Nevada .
The company currently provides ready-made automobiles, such as the Cobra small block , the Cobra Big Block and Shelby Series I forth. The Shelby Series II was presented at the Paris Motor Show in October 2018 and series production started in summer 2019.

history
The company was founded in 1962 by Carroll Shelby and built tuning parts and tuned cars for private customers. Some of the cars made by Shelby American were the Shelby GT 350 based on the Ford Mustang and the Shelby GT 500. Shelby American also designed the legendary Shelby Cobra , an AC Ace with a Ford V8 engine.
The company was also heavily involved in racing; Shelby cars won many races on the drag racing track and at the 24 Hours of Le Mans , as well as the sports car world championship for the first time for a US car in 1966 . In 1966, the same year that Shelby American helped American win the World Sports Car Championship, Shelby American also helped them win the 24 Hours of Le Mans.
In 1995, the company moved to Nevada and became the state's first automaker there. The model range consisted of:
