Premier League 2011/12

The Scottish Premier League 2012/13 was the 15th season of the highest Scottish football division since it was founded in 1998. It was also the 116th edition of the highest football division within the Scottish Football League in which the Scottish champions were determined has been. The league is officially called the Clydesdale Bank Scottish Premier League and was hosted by the Scottish Football Association . The season began on August 4, 2012 and ended in May 2013. Due to the Summer Olympics in London, where the football competitions were also held in Hampden Park , Scotland , the season started later than last year.

As promoted from the Scottish First Division , Ross County and Dundee FC came to the SPL . Celtic Glasgow starts the season as defending champions . The Glasgow Rangers were excluded from the Premier League for the 2012/13 season after filing for bankruptcy in July 2012, and were forcibly transferred to the Scottish Third Division .

With a 4-1 win against Inverness Caledonian Thistle on the first day of the final round, Celtic Glasgow secured their 44th Scottish championship title early on.
