Dahl is a court of Wipperfürth in the Oberbergischer Kreis in the administrative district of Cologne in North Rhine-Westphalia ( Germany ).

Location and description

The court is located in the east of Wipperfürth on the city limits to Halver. Neighboring towns are Dörpinghausen , Wiegen , Voswinkel , Speckenbach and Boxbüchen . The Wiegersiepen flows past the eastern edge of the village and flows into the Ibach 240 m southeast of Dahl .

Politically, the place is represented by the direct candidates from electoral district 13 (130) Ohl and Claswipper in the council of the city of Wipperfürth.

history

In 1378 the place is mentioned for the first time under the name "Dale" in a document from the archives of the Catholic parish in Wipperfürth. Accordingly, "Henricus Dale belonged to the church provisional arrangements of the Wipperfürther parish church" . The historical map Topographia Ducatus Montani from 1715 shows two farms and names them “Dahle” . From the map of the Topographical Survey of the Rhineland from 1825, the place name "Dahl" in use today is used.
