Birkerhof is a village in the town of Wipperfürth in the Oberbergischer Kreis in the administrative district of Cologne in North Rhine-Westphalia ( Germany ).

The place is in the southwest of Wipperfürth near the watershed between the Große Dhünn and the Kürtener Sülz . Neighboring places are Wipperfeld , Lamsfuß and Oberholl .

history
The place name Birkerhof first appeared in topographic maps in 1954. The federal highway 506 running north of the village was an important military route between Cologne and Soest in the Middle Ages . Around 1220, when the city of Wipperfürth was founded, the path was probably already used.
